About: Eric Robert

My Journey: When I first got into glass etching, I was most interested in the sandblasting process and was about to spend over $10,000 on equipment advertised by manufacturers. Just before I was about to make the irrationally quick decision, I decided to research other lower cost solutions and ended up piecing together a great setup for at least 90% less. My goal through our ebook and membership area is to provide this information so you too can save, while still etching like a pro. It is my aim that a small investment in this information will actually save you thousands.

Rapid mask photo resist.

Eric, I’ve been shopping around for what kind of photo resist film to get when I do my stencils. What do you recommend for me to buy? I want to do fairly detailed artwork and don’t want to buy the additional darkening toner solution. I saw something called Rapidmask high detail which doesn’t require washout

So nice of you personally answering my message about the Cricut machines. I mentioned SCM because someone posted on a forum about selling one of their systems. It sells for $2400, and she was asking $1500. Yesterday I got her down to $1000 and am going to take it. I just have to buy the

Cricut Machines for Etching Stencils?

Posted on February 19, 2012 by Eric Robert Posted in Questions About Products, Etching, & Sandcarving 6 Comments

I bought your book. Luckily, I have a Harbor Freight nearby! One of the bummers about your tips was about cutting designs out by hand. Wouldn’t you say that one of those “Cricut” machines that scrapbookers use work for patterns? You load vinyl in the machine and it will cut out fairly intricate designs. They
