Welcome other Glass Etchers!

Posted on November 20, 2009 by Eric Robert Posted in Blog Content 2 Comments

Hi everyone, welcome to my blog about glass etching, engraving, sandcarving, and anything that deals with personalization for arts and crafts or the engraving industry.  There will be a wealth of information here, along with tutorials that I hope will help you.  Also, if you have something to contribute about your business or news of your craft project, just let me know.  If anyone wants more information on how to etch glass, let me know or you could post a picture of your work.  You can click here to see some mugs that I etched awhile back.  They are very simple, but sometimes that’s all the customer really wants.  I would like to upload some of my advanced etchings soon, so stay tuned.

If you are new to etching or would like to get into it, you will find my manual to be very helpful.  It discusses information on how to save a lot of money on equipment.  Most books won’t show you much sources, except the very expensive ones.  It will go over all the steps with detailed pictures of me etching a piece of glass.  Since some people are using the crafting cream and others chose to sandblast, I go through both of these processes.  The stenciling systems are similar to an extent.  That’s it so stay tuned for my next post.

Wow! We started our bottle crafting blog at the exact same time. Your site has a lot of useful information in it. Keep up the good work.
