About: Eric Robert

My Journey: When I first got into glass etching, I was most interested in the sandblasting process and was about to spend over $10,000 on equipment advertised by manufacturers. Just before I was about to make the irrationally quick decision, I decided to research other lower cost solutions and ended up piecing together a great setup for at least 90% less. My goal through our ebook and membership area is to provide this information so you too can save, while still etching like a pro. It is my aim that a small investment in this information will actually save you thousands.

Engraved cermaic cop mugs.

Cheryl was nice enough to share some of her projects with us recently. I haven’t seen as much rotary engraving work done on mugs and rocks, so I thought this was interesting to share some ideas. I typically use sandblasting techniques to engrave mugs as explained in the member’s area. One of her projects was

As you may know, I like to experiment with different types of etchings and patterns that I stumble across. Sometimes a pattern works out and sometimes it doesn’t. A while back, I found an interesting batman pattern online using the search techniques discussed in the membership area. I used my cutter to cut out the

An etched wine bottle gift for an anniversary.

A great thing about old wine bottles or even glass jars is they are a great resource to practice etching on. A while back, I experimented with some designs that I laid out in my software to create an anniversary themed stencil which was then etched on a wine bottle, as you can see in
