About: Eric Robert

My Journey: When I first got into glass etching, I was most interested in the sandblasting process and was about to spend over $10,000 on equipment advertised by manufacturers. Just before I was about to make the irrationally quick decision, I decided to research other lower cost solutions and ended up piecing together a great setup for at least 90% less. My goal through our ebook and membership area is to provide this information so you too can save, while still etching like a pro. It is my aim that a small investment in this information will actually save you thousands.

Whiskey bottle etched.

Jennifer Roy sent in the latest sample of etchings and I liked the ideas, especially of etching a whiskey bottle! The photo shows a whiskey bottle that she etched with the stencil positioned on the left and the completed etching on the right. Thinking more about this, you could etch a nice flask too since

bengals led sandcarving

A while back, I did this simple sandcarving of the Cincinnati Bengals logo on a large piece of glass. I had a wood frame that wasn’t being used so I cut the glass to size. By the way, this nice large sheet of glass was acquired free using the technique discussed here. After the logo

The 3 piece diamond-point engraving scribe set used in this tutorial can be found on Amazon here: http://amzn.to/2sg62m3 I first searched for a

Deluxe bottle cutter kit

If you can recall, a while back, we launched our own bottle cutter brand, Upcycle EZ-Cut, which was designed for cutting bottles perfectly. But the sad truth is even the best bottle cutter available can still have problems separating the score line and end up breaking incorrectly. The problem here isn’t always with the bottle

James Bruce's 1981 Pronghorn engraving

Kristine Watson was nice enough to share these photos of her collection of James L. Bruce’s engravings. She mentioned she was a personal friend of the artist and believes she has the largest collection of his “Living Mirrors”. I wasn’t familiar with the artist so she was willing to do this post as a tribute
